Actress Demi Moore has checked into a treatment facility after paramedics were called to her home. Her spokesperson says that due to the recent stresses in her life she has quote, “chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion”. But other sources say that she is getting help for substance abuse.

Oscar Nominees Announced

The nominees for the 84th annual Academy Awards have been announced. Martin Scorcese’s “Hugo” led the pack with 11 nominations, including Best Director and Picture. “The Help”, “Moneyball” and the French silent film “The Artist” were all recognized with multiple nominations for acting and Best Picture nods. The Oscars will be handed out February 26th.

Iran Ban

The Iranian government has banned actress Golshifteh Farahani from ever returning to the country. Reason being, one single nude photo of her recently appeared in French magazine Madame Le Figaro. The Iranian actress, who’s starred in films alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, says she agreed to the photo shoot to protest restrictive Islamic codes.
